They three, good morning Jungle.
When we woke up in our hammocks we first ate breakfast . Then we did the most expected thing of the two days , we learned how to make fire! (with the resources the jungle gived for us). At the end of this page you can see the steps. we walked back to the hotel and on the way we saw traps for specific animals at the way to the the hotel. We also learned how to distinguish poisonous fruit from beneficial fruits. For the fruit to be poisonous it need to be hairy, milky and bitter and for you not to die if the fruit is hairy and milky don`t try to eat it because it is going probably to hurt you.
We got a resting time where we could go to the beautiful natural swimming pool where we had a really cool time, or we could go to the room to work on our project. Then we went Piranha fishing, the first students to get a fish were Vinicius, Ana and Sean. The only student from our group to get a Piranha was Sean. The nurse got a red belly piranha and Juliana got a normal piranha. Some other kids got catfish but nothing else. After that we went to an Indian tribe that had come down the river to see us because of the river level was down. They presented for us a really beautiful ritual that they usually dance during the Thanks Giving. It is a very nice and interesting dance. At the end of the presentation they called some students to use their instrument. José Costa from our group went and did a really good job. The language they communicated between them was Tucano which is based in the Amazonian bird called Tucano.
At the end they thanked us and made us some gifts . They had a very good place for selling things, this was really good for the School members to buy gifts from the Amazon region.
